DES representatives at Stoddard Town Hall August 20
Amy Smagula, limnologist with the NH Department of Environmental Services (DES) and coordinator of the Exotic Aquatic Species program will speak in Stoddard on August 20th at 7pm at the Stoddard Town Hall. Her topic will be Native Plants That Are Good for Lakes. As a limnologist at NHDES, Ms. Smagula works to protect and improve the quality and the recreational value of NH Lakes. The use of native plants that are good for lakes helps us to protect this natural resource.
Following Ms. Smagula, Jay Aube of the NHDES Wetlands Bureau will present recent changes to the Shoreline Protection Act.
The program is sponsored by Stoddard’s 3 lake associations: Granite Lake Association, Highland Lake Association and Island Pond Association.
